In this research, the fabrication of transparent Alumina was done by spark plasma sintering (SPS). Two types alpha and gamma powders with particle size 200 50 nm were used, respectively. The assisted materials used in research magnesium nitrate lanthanum nitrate, each which 100 ppm using a chemical precipitation process. Calcination performed at 800°C resulting subjected to SPS 1500 °C rate °C/min for 15 minutes under pressure 70 MPa. phase composion analyzed X-ray diffraction (XRD) before after SPS. morphology microstructure sintered samples studied scanning electron microscopy (SEM). bulk density obtained be 3.94 gr/cm3 3.9 samples, UV-Visible transmission test showed 20% alumina sample. amount IR 65% 25%, sample had higher percentage compared

Transparent polycrystalline spinel ceramic was fabricated without any sintering aids by spark plasma sintering method of a mixture of Al2O3 and MgO powders for only 10min soak at 1250°C.
